New Jail superintendent for District Jail in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Mar 16, 2017 : Suresh has been appointed as the new jail superintendent after the transfer of Krishnamurthy. Following jailbreak by an undertrial on  March 10 , DGP Satyanarayana orderd to transfer of jail superintendent and  wardens.

 

Jinnappa who was facing trial in a rape case in the district Sessions Court had  escaped climbing the main walls inspite of  maximum-security district in the jail. He was later arrested in Sullia and handed over to Barke police.


Belagavi Central Prisons Chief Superintendent P T Sesha,visited the district jail on March 11, Saturday conducted inquiry. Based on the report’s recommendations, action was taken against the erring prison staff .

Acting on his orders District Jail Superintendent V Krishnamurthy was tranferred to Bengaluru .Jail wardens S Kathari and B Rangappa have been suspended.
