New DRM for Palakkad Rail division

Mangaluru, Apr 26, 2018: An official release here said Pratap Singh Shami took over as the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Southern Railway’s Palakkad Division that has jurisdiction over Mangaluru Railway Region.

DRM Shami, an officer of Indian Railway Service of Stores 1987 examination batch, replaced Naresh Lalwani, who is moving on transfer as Senior Deputy General Manager, West Central Railway, Jabalpur.

Prior to this assignment, DRM Shami was working as Chief Materials Manager, South East Central Railway, Bilaspur. He had also worked as Executive Director at Research Design Standards Organisation (RDSO), Lucknow and Deputy Chief Materails Manager at Eastern Railway, South Easteran Railway and Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala.

He is a B.Sc (Engineering) graduate from AMU, Aligarh and M.Tech (Civl) from IIT, Delhi. He has also completed MBA from Sikkim Manipal University.
