New DK taluks to be inaugurated on March 1

Mangaluru, Feb 20, 2019: Speaking to media on February 19, Tuesday, DK District In-charge Minister U T Khader said that the new building of the District Lady Goschen Hospital will be inaugurated on February 26. Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has been invited for the programme.

The minister said that he will receive public grievances, convene KDP meetings and hold a meeting on the ULBs implementing works from Wednesday in Dakshina Kannada. Grievances will be received at the Sullia Inspection Bungalow at 9 am on Wednesday. The KDP and the ULB meetings will be held in Sullia. In Puttur, grievances will be received at the Inspection Bungalow at 2.30 pm, the review meeting will be in town at 4 pm, he listed out.

Khader added that, on February 21, public grievances will be received at the Belthangady Inspection Bungalow at 8 am, the KDP and review meetings will be at 10 am. In Bantwal, the grievances will be received at 3 pm, the review meeting will be held after.

On February 23, the grievances will be received at Moodbidri at 9 am, after which a review meeting will be held.

A review meeting will be held at MCC in the afternoon. A grievances meeting is organised to understand people’s problems at taluk-level and to accelerate the development works, Khader explained.

Manila Swami has appealed to start three KSRTC buses from Manila to Dharmasthala, Puttur and Subrahmanya. The permits have already been issued for the buses and KSRTC will operate the buses shortly, informed Khader.

He said that Mudipu and Ullal Block Congress workers in Mangaluru Assembly constituency have raised
Rs 2 lakh for the family of Guru, a CRPF martyr. The amount will be handed over to the family shortly, he added.

Release documents, Kateel told :  Minister U T Khader challenged MP Nalin Kumar Kateel to release documents on him and former MLA J R Lobo posing hindrance to the work on NH 66.

He said, “The MP could not complete the work as promised. Now, he is creating confusion in the minds of the people by issuing false statements. The NHAI is entrusted with the work of four-laning the NH 66. The NHAI comes directly under the Central government. Let the MP furnish evidence to prove that Lobo and I had posed hurdles to benefit our community members.”
