Nepali teenager drowns, five others rescued at Chitrapur beach

Mangaluru, Oct 20 2023: Nisha, a Nepali girl residing in Vittal lost her life while five of her school mates were rescued from drowning while they were making merry at the Chitrapur beach near Suratkal on October 19, Thursday.

 

Nisha and five other students, Diganta (15), Divyaraj (15), Tejas (14), Keerthan (16), and Ashmitha (15), all ventured into the water to play at Chitrapur Beach. They were swept away by the strong currents, but nearby fishermen and locals came to their rescue. Four of them were in good health, while Tejas was admitted to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
