Operators are giving appointments to people for the first 15 minutes of the working time on the notified date at a rate of 30 persons per day.

The Mangalore One Centre on the Light House Hill Road has issued appointments till March 10 in January and people have to visit on March 11 for fresh appointments. Similarly, at the Mangalore One Centre, Lalbagh, people have to visit on April 1. Appointments will be given at the Mini-Vidhana Soudha on March 8, while at the Janaspandana Centre it will be on March 18.

Among those who are yet to get appointment are those like a labourer from Konchady, who wants to carry out changes in the Aadhaar details of his ailing five-year-old son and get government relief for his treatment. “I could not succeed twice. I hope to get appointment the third time at the Mangalore One Centre,” he said.

DK DC Dr. K.G. Jagadeesha said he will propose an increase in the number of mobile enrollment kits to ease pressure. Additional Deputy Commissioner Kumara said they will re look at the system of issuance of appointments. So, things will soon improve.
