National level Open Karate Championship in city on Nov 4, 5

Mangaluru, Nov 01, 2017:  A National level Open Karate Championship named "Indian Karate Championship-2017" will be held at Nehru Maidan in Mangaluru for the first time on November 4 and 5.  Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the tournament in which over 25,000 Karatekars are expected to participate. The  valedictory function of the event will be graced by State Energy Minister DK Shivakumar among others.

The event will be held under the aegis of the Self-Defence School of Indian Karate, informed  Sadananda Shetty, Chairman of Shree Devi Education Trust and Mayor Kavitha Sanil who herself is a Karate champion.
