Mangaluru, August 29, 2017: A media note received sates that Father Muller College of Speech and Hearing aims for quality and innovative services in terms of clinical as well as academic aspects. A preset action plan helps to develop and deploy effective implementation of the curriculum. The college aims in imparting knowledge to the stake holders and other professionals by updating in recent advances in the profession. This is achieved by continuing education programs, seminars and workshops conducted by the college periodically. This year the management, staffs and students join hands to organize a National seminar on “Current trends in issues related to speech and hearing disability”.
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India has notified guidelines for evaluation of various disabilities and procedure for certification. Speech and Language Disability and Specific Learning Disability have been added for the first time in the rights of
persons with disability Bill 2016.
A focus on current trends in issues related to speech and hearing disability throws light into various aspects of the speech & hearing disability. The seminar is going to be held on 30th and 31st August, 2017 at Father Muller Decennial Memorial Hal. Prof. Dr. A.M Khan will be the chief guest of the inaugural ceremony; Professor Dr. A. K. Singh will be the guest of honour. The inaugural ceremony will be presided over by Rev. Fr Richard Coelho, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions.
