Nation-wide strike by trade unions on Jan 8 : AITUC leader Amarjeet Kaur

Mangaluru, Dec 14, 2019:   A Tukde Tukde gang ruling the country  is trying to divide the country through Citizenship Act and NRC,  alleged AITUC National General Secretary Amarjeet Kaur.

 

 

 

 

Addressing  presspersons in Mangaluru on December 14, Saturday, she said politics aimed at dividing India   had started ever since the inception of RSS. She said various trade union organisations will hold a nationwide strike on January 8  to protest against the  policies of the Centre, which she said  are against the interests of the working class and the nation.

She said the nation’s economic scenario was sinking with the passing of each day. Instead of setting right the anomaly, the government was trying to  divert attention of the people through the Citizenship Amendment Act. This Act will hit hard the nation which is already reeling under  economic problems, she said and urged the government to revoke the Act.

 Dr Srinivas Kakkilaya, CPI District General Secretary V Kukyan, AITUC District Secretary H V Rao were also present.
