Narrow escape for car driver in an accident near Kotekar

 Mangaluru, Dec 21, 2015:  A young car driver escaped the jaws of death by a hair’s breadth when his car collided head-on with a KSRTC bus on the NH 66 near Beeri check post near Kotekar on December 21, Monday morning.

 

The lucky car driver is Azeem (23) from Uppala. Azeem was on way to Uppala from Mangaluru. His car collided head on with a KSRTC bus heading towards Mangaluru from Uppala  when he tried to avert  hitting a stationed truck near the Beeri check-post.

While the car suffered extensive damages, Azeem was unhurt. However, a few bus passengers sustained minor injuries in the accident.

The mishap disrupted traffic on the route for some time. In the meantime, a drunk person tried to  create ruckus  and was taken away by the police personnel.
