NWF stages protest ; demands early arrest of Gauri killers

Mangaluru, Sep 13,2017 : Members  of the National Women’s Front staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on September 13, Tuesday  to demand the  early arrest of the killers of  journalist Gauri  Lankesh.

 

 

Addressing the protestors, writer Jyothi Guruprasad said Gauri was not just a journalist but a voice of the society, a social activist and progressive thinker. Her killing is unacceptable to the civil society. Any differences must be sorted out through talks and not by silencing voice. Only cowards can resort to such acts, she added.

 Shahida Aslam, National Committee Member of National Women’s Front,  Mehanaz, Principal of Zeenat Educational Trust and many others took part in the protest.
