Dr.Aravinda C V, Associate Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering, NMAMIT, Nitte and his teammate Ms.Lavanya S from Cisco, Bengaluru developed an innovative Touchless Bell for temples. This innovative device was inaugurated in the ‘Mahaganapathy Temple’ of Nitte campus on 2nd September 2020 by Dr. Niranjan Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT. Dr. I Ramesh Mithanthaya, Vice Principal, Prof. Yogeesh Hegde, Registrar, Dr. Udayakumar Reddy, Head of Dept. of CSE, Dr.Roshan Fernandes, Associate Professor, Dept of CSE and Dr.Divakar Bhat, Librarian were present during this function.

This touchless bell helps in maintaining social distancing. You need to just wave your hand near the sensor and the device will automatically sense your hand and automatically starts ringing. Easy installation, low maintenance cost, customizable and low power consumption are its added benefits.
