NALSAR University of Law awards Ph.D. Degree to Vasundhara Kamath

Mangaluru, August 8, 2016: Vasundhara Kamath S. of Mangaluru has been conferred with the coveted Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) degree by the prestigious NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad for her thesis titled ‘Copyright in the Internet – With Special Reference to the Legal Issues Relating to Online File Sharing’ prepared under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Vivekandan V. C.

The degree was handed over by His Lordship Justice Ramesh Ranganathan, Chancellor of the University and Acting Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court in the august presence of the Chief Guest, his Lordship Justice T. S. Thakur, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of India and Prof. Faizan Mustafa, the Vice Chancellor of the University during the 14th Annual Convocation of the University held on Saturday, 6th August 2016 at Justice City, Hyderabad.

Vasundhara Kamath is an alumnus of St Agnes Institutions, St Aloysius College and SDM Law College, Mangaluru where she did her B. A., LLB course. She did her LLM at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad and subsequently has served as member of the faculty at MATS University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh and Christ University, Bengaluru. She is a resident of Falnir, Mangaluru.
