Mystery shrouds death of polygamist ; first wife suspects foul play

Kundapur, Dec 21, 2016  :  The death of a 32 year old man from Haregodu  who reportedly committed suicide by consuming poison has  been shrouded in mystery  with his first  lodging a complaint alleging that  her husband has  been   murdered.

The deceased man is Bhasker Acharya. He worked as a sound and lights technician. It is learnt Bhasker was staying with his second wife Shabia alias Chaitra at Basrur when he committed suicide. Sources said he ended life when Shabia was having bath.

Bhasker had married Preetha, a Christian eight years ago  and also had a son from her. Later he had married a divorcee named Shabia who happened to be the former wife of  Abdulla who was Bhasker’s friend.

Shabia had subsequently embraced Hinduism.
