Udupi, Mar 8, 2015 : Sri Rama Sene President Pramod Muthalik has blamed the Congress Government in the state for the recent clashes at Shivamogga in the aftermath of a PFI rally.
Speaking to reporters at the Kamakshi Temple at Lakshmindranagar here, the Sene leader charged the government of permitting the rally despite intelligence inputs of likely clashes. He further alleged that the rally was permitted after the state government mounted pressure on the SP and the DC of Shivamogga.
Muthalik also strongly condemned the decision of the state government to ban VHP leader Praveen Togadia from entering Udupi district and participating in the March 9 Hindu Samajotsava. “instead of acting against those responsible for clashes in Gangolli and Shivamogga, the government is banning entry of leaders,” he said.
Asked if he would attend Samajotsav in Udupi, Muthalik said he was already pre-occupied that day.
Suspecting that some people in Bhatkal have links with Pakistan, the Sri Rama Sene leader while referring to the arrest of three persons from Bhatkal in connection with Bengaluru blast, said he would organise a Bhatkal Chalo programme on April 1 from Bengaluru to eradicate terrorism. He also described Bhatkal as a ‘Mini Pakistan.’
The Sri Rama Sene Chief also expressed pleasure over the Maharashtra Government decision to ban beef.
