Muslim outfits condemns police brutality on protestors, demand judicial probe

Mangaluru, Dec 27, 2019:  The Karnataka chapter of Sunni Co-ordination which convened a press meet on December 26, Thursday in the presence of various leaders of the community has accused the city police of committing atrocities on members of the Muslim community on the pretext of dispersing  anti-CAA protestors.

The  Organisation has demanded stern action against the police officers found guilty and also sought a judicial probe into the police firing.

Khazi Al Haj P M Ibrahim Musliyar said  there needs to be a thorough probe into the deliberate police atrocities on the community.

SYS Karnataka State Organising Secretary Zaini Kamil Sakhafi said it was condemnable on the part of the police to deny permission for protest and thus depriving people of their right to protest.

B M Mumtaz Ali, General Secretary of Karnataka Muslim Jamaath DK District Committee Secretary questioned why the  police released video footages of the violence when a probe was underway. He demanded that the CCTV footages of Bunder police station and other areas must be investigated to find who instigated the violence.
