Muslim Central Committee puts off Jan 4th anti-CAA meet

Mangaluru, Jan 03, 2020:  The  huge convention  which the DK and Udupi Muslim Central Committee had planned  to organise  at Nehru Maidan on January 4  against the  Citizenship Amendment  Act, has been temporarily put on hold as the City Police Commissioner has refused to grant permission for the same.

Informing this to reporters,  K S Mohammad Masood, President of the Committee said the Commissioner  did not agree to permit the convention despite assurances that it would be held peacefully.  He said the Committee has decided to honour the decision of the Commissioner. Masood further said the  Committee  would decide on the future course of action after 15 days after consultation with the  various organisations which had come together to hold the protest.
