Murder attempt case accused arrested after 39 years

Mangaluru, Mar 08, 2019:  The Anti Rowdy Squad  police  have arrested a person named Avil D’Souza (56) from  Padpu Adam Kudru near Jeppinamogaru in an attempt to murder case  reported 39 years ago.

 

The accused  was absconding  all these years without appearing before the court. Sources said he was employed  abroad and had some time back returned to the city. The police who learnt  about this succeeded in arresting him.

Avil had reportedly assaulted one Ganesh Shetty in 1980 following which the murder attempt case was registered.
