Murder accused trying to flee nation using fake passport arrested at MIA

Mangaluru: July 29, 2015: The Bantwal police Sub-Inspector, Rakshit A K arrested a Murder accused Haneef (33) aka ’Chotte’ Haneef who was trying to board with Fake Passport at Mangaluru International Airport.

He was the main accused in murder case of Rifai, an auto rickshaw driver. He obtained a conditional bail from the state high court.

According to the sources, Haneef had got the passport done in a fake address in Mysuru in 2008. The police had issued lookout notice at all airports against him

When Haneef arrived at Mangaluru Airport to go to a foreign country the officials identified and stopped him and informed the Bantwal rural police.

 

The Bantwal police arrested him produced in a court and remanded him to judicial custody.
