Move on cattle lauded by Pejawar seer

Udupi, May 27, 2017: Vishwesha Tirtha Swami of Udupi Paryaya Pejawar Mutt on May 26,   Friday welcomed the Union government’s move of banning the sale and purchase of cattle from animal markets for slaughter.

Speaking to media, the seer said that nobody should take the law into their hands on this issue. There should be no violence or killing of people in the name of protection of cattle. The government should implement the ban in a proper manner so that no problems arose out of it. There should be no misuse of the ban, he said.
