Mounting debt forces man to end life on railway track

Udupi, May 24, 2015: A man hailing from Kadekar has reportedly committed suicide by coming under a speeding train near the Indrali Railway Station on May 24, Sunday.

The deceased person is Guruprasad Shetty (35). Sources said Shetty who had availed loans from different banks as well as several of his friends was depressed after being unable to repay the same and therefore chose to end his life.

The body was first noticed by some passersby who informed the police.The body was later shifted to the Wenlock Hospital for a post-mortem.

Manipal police have registered a case.
