More flights between Mangalore and Bangalore likely

Mangalore, Oct 31, 2014:  The Air India may introduce flight services between Mangalore and Pune, Delhi and Hubli via Bangalore, according to Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of Parliament.

He told presspersons here on Thursday that of these three sectors, the proposed flights between Mangalore-Bangalore-Delhi and Mangalore-Bangalore-Pune are likely to start soon. The three new sectors have been chosen as they could be viable with significant passenger traffic between Mangalore and Bangalore; Bangalore to Pune and Bangalore to Delhi. It will also to break the monopoly of private airlines between Mangalore and Bangalore.

The airline has proposed to introduce Boeing aircraft to Pune and Delhi while for Hubli it is likely to

be a chartered flight.
