Moolathva Vishwa Award 2018 to Auto Raja in city

Mangaluru, Apr 13, 2018: Moolathva Foundation Charitable Trust will confer the Moolathva Vishwa Award 2018 to social worker Auto Raja, Bengaluru, at a function to be organised at Sharada Vidyalaya, Kodialbail, Mangaluru, on April 15 at 10 am.

Prakash Moolathva, Moolathva Foundation Charitable Trust founder, said on Wednesday that the recipient of the award Auto Raja, was propelled by fate to a criminal act and had to live as a jail bird.

Transformation :  While in prison, Raja transformed himself through meditation and after coming out, engaged himself in social activities. By establishing an organisation called ‘Home of Hope,’ he has been taking care of more than 10,000 street dwellers.

The award includes Rs 1,50,000.

Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management (Adyar) Principal Dr U M Bhushi, Karnataka State Souharda Federal Co-operative Ltd (Bengaluru) Managing Director Sharanagowda G Patil, Sharada Group of Institutions Academic Advisor Dr Leela Upadhyaya and others will be among the guests of honour.

“Moolathva Vishwa Awards, instituted in 2015, has been conferred on social activists Harekala Hajabba, Subhashini Mistry and Sindhu Rai Sapkal during the previous years,” he added.
