Moodbidri: ’Alva’s Pragati’ job fair on July 6, 7

Mangaluru, June 17, 2018: Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri, will host the decennial edition of the placement drive, Alva’s Pragati 2018, on July 6 (for preliminary selections) and July 7 (for final rounds of selections) at Vidyagiri campus, Moodbidri.

Foundation managing trustee Vivek M Alva said on June 16, Saturday that the Foundation is geared up for the decennial edition. Recruiters representing major sectors such as IT, ITeS, manufacturing, healthcare and pharma, sales and retail, automobile, banking and finance, hospitality, education and NGO will participate.

He said that registration will open only on July 6. The manufacturing sector, featuring Kirloskar Toyota Textile Machinery Pvt Ltd, Toyota Industries Engine India, Ajax Fiori, Toshiba Mitsubishi- Electric Industrial Systems Corporation, Al Cargo Logistics, Indo-US MIM Tech and Kaynes Technologies, has a large number of job openings this year for BE Mechanical, diploma and ITIs. LM Wind Power and Bharat Fritz Werner will be hiring female candidates in large numbers for BE mechanical and diploma mechanical/ electrical qualifications. Gulf Multinational Companies like NMC Healthcare, UAE Exchange, Fortune Group of Hotels have confirmed their participation. Banks such as HDFC, ICICI and Axis are going to participate as well.

Prominent companies that will hire MBA graduates include Oracle, Cafe Coffee Day, Ninja Cart, Innova Diesel Generators Pvt Ltd, Maniranjan Diesel Sales and Service Limited and Raymonds- Silver Spark Apparel Ltd. Oracle is hiring for Mumbai and Bangalore locations for MBA, BCom, BBM, BSc candidates.

Premier pharmaceutical companies like Recipharm Pharmaservices Pvt Ltd, Transasia Biomedicals and British Biologicals will participate in the drive to hire BSc Chemistry, MSc (Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry), MPharm and BPharm candidates. IT recruiters such as Code craft Technologies, Magic Bus, Infosys BPM, Mphasis and a few others have also confirmed their participation.

Leading Telecom Industries like Vodafone and Reliance Communications are looking for graduates in large numbers. There are opportunities for lateral hiring in the QA/QC and training profile for BE (MECH), MBA aspirants, respectively.

With data banking set up, gathered through Alva’s Pragati online enrollment, the information will be extended throughout the year to cater on and off campus drives for various profiles in different sectors, Vivek Alva added.

The participating candidates have to get five to 10 passport size photographs along with an updated resume, all marks cards attested (photocopies only), online registration number/ID.
