Moodbidri businessman meets watery grave in Israel

Mangaluru, Oct 6, 2015 : A  businessman from Moodbidri, who had gone to Israel four months ago, has met a watery grave in the sea while clicking photographs recently. The tragic incident had taken place on September 23.


Yashodhara Acharya 1The deceased is Yashodhara Acharya who  owned the Navaratna Dye Works in Moodbidri and was also the Vice President of Goldsmiths’ Welfare Forum of Moodbidri.


It is learnt, Yashodhara, his brother Ratnaker and others were enjoying holidays and were clicking photographs when a mighty wave swept Yashodhara and another Israeli  man.


Though the Coast Guards  rshed to help and pulled them out from the water,  Yashodhara’s life could not be saved.


The Israeli man however has  survived.

The mortal remains were brought to Yashodhara’s hometown Kallabettu where the last rites were performed on October 4, Sunday. The deceased has left behind his mother, wife and two children.
