Moodbidri : Prime witness in Prashanth murder case allegedly commits suicide

Moodbidri, Oct 16, 2015 : In a disturbing development in the aftermath of Bhajrangdal activist Prashanth Poojary murder case,   one of the prime witnesses  in the case has allegedly committed suicide  inside a shed near his daughter’s house on October 15, Thursday. The body of Vaman Poojary (68)  was found hanging inside the shed.

He  owned a tender coconut  shop next to Prashanth’s flower shop  and was a witness to the brutal murder. Vaman had gone missing on October 14, Thursday forcing his family to suspect that  someone might have kidnapped him. But eventually, his body was found inside a shed close by his daughter’s house  near Swaraj Maidan.

Local residents say Vaman was very much depressed ever since the murder.

Moodbidri police are investigating the case.
