Moodbidri NRI complains of wife cheating, threatening

Moodbidri, April 23, 2017: Reports are rife of a Moodbidri based Non Resident of India (NRI), Santhosh Shetty, who filed a complaint at Moodbidri police station alleging his wife has cheated and threatened his life, if he returns to the country from Kuwait to settle down in his home town.

The complainant married to Apoorva, a resident of Kashipatna in 2011 and he gifted her jewelry worth Rs 25 lakh after their marriage. He continued to send cash for his beloved wife even-after he moved to Kuwait. Meanwhile, the NRI deposited Rs 63 lakh cash in her name and brought a house worth Rs 28 lakhs in Kadandale along with a car and scooter for her.

The issue started when Santhosh decided to return India to settle down here and communicated the same to his wife. When his wife knew that her husband is returning India, then, with the support of some of her relatives she threatened that if he returns to his hometown his life is at stake. This NRI also alleged that his wife is not ready to handover the properties and his belongings given to her.
