Moodbidri : Illegal red stone quarry raided ; equipment, vehicles seized

Mangaluru, July 05, 2019:  Sleuths of the North sub-division Anti-Rowdy Squad have raided    an illegal redstone quarry  located at Padamale and Manjanbail in Moodbidri Badagamijar village and have seized  Rs 31 lakhs worth of goods including  machinery and four lorries.

 

The raid followed a tip off that three persons namely  Joachim Corea, Hemachandra and Jagadish were operating the illegal quarry. The seized machinery  and vehicles have been handed over to the  Department of Mines and Geology.
