Mangaluru, Feb 15, 2016 : The indications are very clear. Veteran Congress leaders and arch rivals B Janardhana Poojary and M Veerappa Moily are at logger heads once again. There is a full-blown war of words between the two. Both the leaders who are also former union ministers are now involved a verbal clash over the ’age’ issue.
If Moily while speaking to reporters in Udupi on Saturday had stated that there was no need to attach ’special significance’ to the words of ’aged people,’ apparently hinting at Poojary, the latter has now hit back at Moily and has questioned his age.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Poojary who made a direct reference to Moily, said "I am very well aware of your age. You were born in 1940 and are now 76. As per your own words that there was no need to attach importance to the words of aged people,. there is also no need to give importance to your own words. " Why are you part of election campaigning when your words carry no weightage?" Poojary mocked at Moily.
Poojary who seemed to be terribly upset over Moily’s remarks said " As far as Moily is concerned, the only truth is that he is Moily as for the rest whatever he says is a lie and this is what people say."
Poojary questioned what wrong had he done by asking the CM to auction his costly wrist watch and donate the proceeds to the families of Siachen Martyr Hanumanthappa.
Naveen D’Souza, Corporator , T K Sudhir and others were present.
