Mock fire drill held at Rosario High School

Mangaluru, Jan 20, 2018: A mock firefighting drill was organized at the Rosario High School grounds here on January 20, Saturday in order to create awareness among teachers and students on  the safety measures in the event of a fire mishap.

 

 

 

 

 

 

As part of the mock drill  a fire situation was created on the second floor following which teachers tried to douse the fire and even informed the Fire Service Department.

Chief Fire Officer Shivashanker who was present, said the mock drill was  conducted as per the instructions of  Director General of Home Guards, Civil Defence and Fire Service to hold such exercise in  one  school in every district.

The mock drill exercise was participated by as many as 35 fire service  personnel who used   Aerial Ladder Platform and other advance fire extinguishing equipment.

School Headmaster Aloysius D’Souza, Regional Fire Officer Tippeswamy, Parish Priest of Rosario Cathedral Fr J B Crasta and others were present.
