Mangaluru, April 10, 2020: Though the Mangaluru-Kasargod border has been opened at Talapady for ambulances from Kasargod with pre-conditions, the same has been misused by some people from Kerala, allege two complaints filed at Ullal Police station.
Following the Supreme Court ruling, the district administration had allowed ambulances from Kasargod subject to the condition that the patients have to submit a certificate to prove that they are not Covid-19 patients and that the patient should have recommendation letter from the medical officer of Kasargod District Hospital.
The complaints have stated that two patients who arrived on Wednesday had misused the facility. One patient had come with a problem of head ache while another patient who too had arrived had later left in the same ambulance without informing the doctor, says the complaint.
Meanwhile, a person from Kasargod who had arrived at a hospital in Mangalore for heart treatment had symptoms of fever following which he was taken to the district hospital for Covid-19 test and then brought back. A complaint has been lodged even with regard to this case. The result of the Covid-19 test is not yet known.
