Mission Vande Mataram : Flight carrying 177 Indians from Dubai to arrive tonight

Mangaluru, May 12, 2020:  All arrangements are in place to receive the 177 people of Karnataka origin who are expected to arrive at the Mangaluru International Airport from Dubai at 10 pm on  May 12, Tuesday under the Vande Bharat Mission. The passengers upon arrival will be screened. They will have to undergo a medical check-up following which they will be sent to a quarantine facility as decided by the   District Administration.  A team of officials is already at work and has been entrusted different responsibilities in this regard.

The passengers from the flight are expected to be segregated into two groups A and B. Those exhibiting cough, cold and fever symptoms will be placed in ’A’ group and sent to Wenlock Covid-19 Hospital, while the rest showing no symptoms will be placed in ’B’ group and sent to the quarantine facility.

The administration has already booked different hotels and the  passengers will have to themselves pay for their accommodation and food.

Meanwhile, an empty aircraft is expected to leave from Mangaluru International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
