Missing youth’s parents suspect ex-cop ; file complaint

Mangaluru, Nov 09, 2018: A couple from  Shaktinagar has lodged a complaint with Urwa Police Station against  former police officer turned politician Madan suspecting that the latter was behind the missing of their son.


The couple Shiva Kumar and Sakamma  stated that their son Vinayak who  was pursuing an engineering course at a college in the city had dropped out of college and had associated himself with Madan, the then Bajpe SI who quit the services of the Department to  contest elections  as an independent candidate from Mangaluru South constituency.

The complaint stated that Vinayak had begun staying with Madan at his house and  Madan had convinced them that Vinayak would return to his parents once he gets a good job. The parents have alleged that they were not able to contact their son since October 8 and that Madan had told them that Vinayak had left his house that same day.

 It is learnt Vinayak’s phone was found in the flat where he and Madan stayed. The complainants also alleged that Madan’s phone was  switched off.
