Missing woman, children traced - Operation Muskaan

Uppinangady, Jan 28, 2016: It is noted the Police have succeeded in tracing a missing woman and her two children through Operation Muskaan on 25 January 2016.


missingNisha (28), Kavyashri (6) and Shilpashri (2) were missing from their house at Manigeri, Kalanja village in Belthangady taluk since 26 May 2015.

They were traced at Iruvail Yedapadavu, Mangaluru on 25 January 2016.

Nisha married Prashanth eight years ago, however, due to frequent quarrel between the duo, she went to her mother’s house at Manigeri along with her children. But Nisha went missing from Manigeri since 26 May 2015.

Her mother Usha lodged a complaint at Uppinangady police station. All the effort ofthe police failed to trace them. However, police succeeded in tracing them at Iruvail Yedapadavu through Operayion Muskaan. Nisha informed police that she went to her relative’s house at Nileshwar, Kerala and stayed there for some time. Afterwards, she came to another relative’s house at Iruvail Yedapadavu and stayed there. She is not at all ready to go to her husband’s house. Hence police sent Nisha and her children to her mother’s house.

The search operation was conducted under the supervision of Circle Inspector, Puttur rural police station.
