Missing girl students traced at Shoranur

Mangaluru, Feb 4, 2016:  Two teenagers, both students of St Aloysius PU College who were reported missing since the  past few days  have been traced. Both the girls were spotted near the railway station at Shoranur in Palakkad of Kerala on February 4, Thursday. The Bunder Police have already left for Shoranur to bring the girls back to Mangaluru.

While one of the girls named Smriti hails from Suratkal, the other girl Jacqueline is from Chilimbi. Both are 17 years of age. 

Sources said that the girls were dejected after they scored low marks in exam and had decided to leave the city.

Mangaluru Feb 4, 2016: The two PU college students from Mangaluru go missing after the college hours on February 1 Monday. They were the Pre-University students of St. Aloysious College in Mangaluru.

The identity of the students are : Jacqueline (17) a resident of Chilimbi in Mangaluru and Smrithi (17), a resident of Surathkal. It is said that both the them had attended the college on Monday.


Same day in the evening as they didn’t return home from the college. The parents were tensioned and have lodged a complaint regarding their missing children in Bunder police station.


The City Police Commissioner Mr.Chandrashekar has appointed a special team in investigating about the mysterious disappearance of the two students in the City.  After a detailed investigation it is revealed that one among the two students was in contact with the student from other college.


The police requested the public on information about of these students to contact Bunder Police Station on 0824-2220516.
