Missing girl students brought to Mangaluru; handed over to parents

Mangaluru, Feb 6, 2016 : Two students of St Aloysius College who went missing on February 1 and were traced  at Shoranur in Palakkad of Kerala on  February  4, were brought to Mangaluru by a team of police from Bunder police station. The girls, Jacqueline  from Chilimbi and Smrithi from Suratkal, both 17 years of age have been entrusted to the custody of their parents.  Both the girls are II PUC (Commerce) students.


missing studentIt has been gathered that the girl had not taken their cell phones with them  making it difficult for police to trace them. Luckily on February 4 police got information that the girls were at a railway station  at Shoranur and a police team led by Bunder Inspector Shantharam had immediately  headed towards Shoranur .

The exact reason behind the  decision of the girls to leave their families is not yet known. Meanwhile the Campus Front of India and some other Muslim organisations have condemned the alleged torture  of  a student  named Mohammad Nisar from Kasaba Bengre by the police on the pretext of interrogation in the missing case of girls.
