Missing boy traced after 2 months with fractured arm

Udupi, Aug 08, 2014:  A poor couple from Badami in Bagalkot district, who are residents of Kalya Bharat Nagar near Kaup are at a complete loss not knowing  as to what left their 13 year old son in such a bad state.

 

The couple Basavaraj and Santavva’s 14 year old son Mallikarjun who had gone mysteriously missing two months ago, was spotted at a private hospital in the city on August 7, that too after the police telephoned Basavaraj in this regard.  In fact the couple were shocked to see their son with fractured hands and injuries.

Even the police are not revealing any details. The boy was reported missing on May 27 and a  missing complaint had then been filed.

The couple say the doctors at the hospital told them that their son was admitted to the hospital by one Santosh Shetty from Hebri. When Basavaraj contacted Shetty, the latter told that he spotted, Mallikrjun near the bus stand and gave him a job.He also explained that the boy fell from the terrace of his house while doing some work. He further  said it was he who admitted  the boy to the hospital. Basavaraj said Shetty told him that now it was the responsibility of the family to take care of Basavaraj and his treatment.

Though the parents want the police to register a complaint to look into the case, there is information that the Kaup police are not ready to accept their complaint.

It is also said that the doctors at the hospital who initially told the parents that the boy’s condition was critical, had later  said he was fine and could be taken home.
