Missing Udupi school girl Ishika Shetty traced in Mumbai

Ishika shetty missing caseUdupi, Dec 7, 2014: Thirteen year old Ishika Shetty  who had gone missing under mysterious circumstances from  the hostel of Sharada Residential School at Kunjibettu on November 15 has been traced at Mumbai. Sources said the girl was found at the  Chatrapathi Shivaji Terminus Railway Station and was lodged in the  Dongri State Home nearby.

It has been gathered that a police team from Udupi is in Mumbai and will bring Ishika back to Udupi on December 8, Monday. The girl before leaving her hostel had left behind a letter stating that she was going to Mumbai to meet TV actor Faizal Khan of whom she was a die-hard fan.

The Railway Police who had found Ishika at the station had managed to contact her school on December 5, Friday after she gave its telephone number. Ishika is likely to be produced before the court on December 8, Monday in Mumbai after which she will be handed over to the Karnataka police with the permission of the court.

As per rules she will then have to be produced before the Karnataka High Court before bringing her back to Udupi.
