Miscreants loot cigarettes worth 16 lakh in Puttur

Puttur, August 21, 2015: Unidentified miscreants barged into premises of Dash Marketing, a cigarette distributing enterprise in Puttur and made away with stock of cigarettes amounting to Rs. 16 lakh.

 

It is learnt that cigarette of different brands were contained in 17 cases of 49 bundles. The stocks were ready for the distribution and delivery to the retailers.

According to the sources, the miscreants damaged the CCTV camera before looting the stock. However, the CCTV footage of thieves entering into the premises is said to have remained safe.

A case has been registered at local police station. The police have taken up the investigation
