Miscreants circulate fake news on renaming MIA after Koti Chennaya

Mangaluru, July 02, 2018: In the wake of some   WhatsApp messages stating that Mangaluru International Airport has been named as Koti Chennaya International Airport in honour of the Tulunadu folk  legends,  the airport authorities have clarified  that   it was fake news.

The airport officials have also requested public against circulating such fake news.

It is worth recollecting here that members of the Billawa community under the leadership of Brahma Baidarkala Garodi  President Chittaranjan Kankanady  had recently made representations to  Airport Authority and local elected reprsentatives to rename the airport after Koti Chennaya.
