Miscreants attempt to deface Hanuman portrait at Doddanagudde

Udupi, Nov 15, 2019:  A group of miscreants reportedly assaulted two persons and attempted to deface the portrait of Lord Hanuman at the Jalajakshi Shedti Rangamandir  at Doddanagudde on Thursday.

A pooja was held here on Thursday.  During night a group of seven to eight miscreants arrived there, placed a hat on the photograph of Anjaneya  and took a selfie with the photo before fleeing the place.

Tension prevailed in the area as soon as the incident came to light. Senior police officials including Udupi SP Nisha James arrived at the spot and ensured adequate security in the area.
