Minor explosion in car at Kadri; detonator found

Mangaluru, Apr 19, 2016:  In a shocking incident, a minor explosion has been reported from a car near Kadri Jogi Mutt  on April 18, Monday.   There was a minor explosion near the front passenger seat of the car when Maxwell Monteiro and his wife who were in the car, parked the vehicle near the Mutt and Maxwell pressed the central locking button in the key.

The police was informed and a bomb detection squad which arrived traced a detonator inside the car.

It is believed that the detonator was placed in the car by someone with an intention to cause harm to the car owners.

Kadri police have registered a case and are conducting the investigations.
