Participating in a meeting held at the hospital premises on October 15, Wednesday, the minister cautioned the contractors of the project of blacklisting them if they failed to complete the project on schedule.

The inordinate delay in the completion of the work is also inconveniencing patients while also making the people point fingers towards the government, the Minister said.

Here it is worth mentioning that the works on the project were suspended last month by the contractors on the excuse that the bills of the already done works were not cleared. It has been gathered that the contractor had issued a bill for Rs 8.4 crore out of which only Rs 6.09  crore was paid. The project is coming up at a cost of Rs 21.5 crore and the foundation for the same was laid in March 2013.

DK District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai who also spoke, urged all stakeholders to complete the project on time.

Sushilchandra, MRPL General Manager   in his address, assured that  the pending amount will be  released at the earliest.

State Minister for Fisheries and Youth Services Abhayachandra Jain, Deputy Commissioner A.B. Ibrahim and others were present at the meeting.
