Mangaluru, June 10, 2016: A delegation from Dakshina Kannada district led by DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru on June 8, Wednesday and apprised him of the various problems and developmental issues pertaining to the district.
The delegation made a request to the Chief Minister to take early steps towards the implementation of Paschima Vahini project, to sanction Rs 10 crores to the Lady Goschen Hospital towards completion of its developmental works and also to solve the impasse over Rule 9/11 pertaining to transfer of land.
The delegation even appealed to the CM to give preference to eminent leaders from the District while making appointments to boards and corporations and also to send a high level delegation to the district to oversee developmental works.
Mayor Harinath, MLC Ivan D’Souza, ZP members Padmashekhar Jain, Shahul Hameed, MS Mohammad and others were part of the delegation.
