Minister Khader inaugurates mega blood donation camp at Milagres College

Mangaluru, Aug 22 2015 : A mega blood donation camp organized at the Milagres College Auditorium in the city on August 22, Saturday was inaugurated by State Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader.

 

 

The camp was jointly organized  by the NSS, Youth Red Cross Unit of the College, Media Alumni Association of Mangalagangotri and Lions Club Mangaluru-Netravathi in association with  Indian Red Cross Society Blood Bank, Mangaluru.

In his address,  Khader  said Blood donation  is a noble deed which can save lives. He also exhorted youngsters to  come forward to donate blood and also motivate others in this regard.

Rev. Fr. Michael Santhumayor, Principal of the College,  Rev. Fr Valerian D’Souza, Correspondent, Jacintha Vijay Alfred, Mayor,  Ronald Fernandes, Chairman, IRCS, Mangaluru, Peter Pinto, President, JCI Mangaluru, Prabhaker Shriyan, Chairman, Indian Red  Cross Society  Blood Bank, Mandakini Upadhyaya, President, Lions Club Mangaluru-Netravathi and many others were present.

As many as 75 people donated blood on the occasion.
