Milagres parish bids farewell to Fr. Walter

Mangalore, May 28, 2012 : The people of Milagres parish on May 27, Sunday, arranged a farewell ceremony for Fr. Walter D’Mello, parish priest, who will be leaving for Rome to pursue his higher studies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Since Fr. Walter is very popular, the people found it very difficult to say good-bye to him. He bears the credit of assisting countless poor people and instilling confidence among the parishioners.

The parishioners offered him a memento, a bouquet, and a citation. The gurkars of each ward offered a bouquet to Fr. Walter and thanked for all that he has done for the parish.

In his address, Fr. Walter said that he has satisfied with the work he has done in the parish.
