Merchants test positive; Kasargod district to remain shut till July 17

Kasargod, July 11, 2020:    It has been decided to close down the main markets in Kasargod district for a week in view of increasing cases  of people contracting Covid-19 through contacts.  The main market places will remain closed till July 17 while in Kasargod town all roads leading to the market area too have been sealed.

 

The move comes after 11   traders  tested positive on Friday. On Friday evening, a  high level meeting was held in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Dr D Sajith Babu, SP D Shilpa and  District Medical Officer Dr Ramdas on the  urgent measures that should be taken to check the spread of the infection.
