Meeting growing expectations of customers-a challenge to Banks: Jayaram Bhat

Mangaluru, Jan 07, 2015:  P Jayaram Bhat, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Karnataka Bank has said that banks are facing a major challenge of meeting the growing expectations of customers.

He was speaking after inaugurating a three day conference on ‘Indian Banking- Managing transformation in the era of globalisation and Information Technology’ at the University College in the city on January 6, Tuesday.

Bhat further opined that customers have a tendency of changing their bank even over small issues.He also stated that there was a need for banks to think out of the box to meet the growing expectations as well as face challenges effectively.

K Byrappa, Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University stressed the need for banks to improve their customer service.

The key-note address was delivered by G Gopalakrishna, Director of  Centre for Advanced Financial Research and Learning, Mumbai.
