Medical Seat racket busted. Two persons from Kasargod surrendered

Mangaluru, March 3, 2016: Two persons who were absconding in a case of cheating crores of rupees from medical seat aspirants surrendered in a court in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday, March 02, 2016. V C Shiju and Sebin Thomas are the culprits who have surrendered in the court while the racket leader, Sajish Chandran is still absconding.

The crime branch police had registered a case on a complaint by a medical seat aspirant from Thiruvananthapuram against these three in August, 2014. They had taken Rs. 4 lakhs from Mrs. Ammini, parent of the student, promising medical seat in a medical college in Mangaluru. They have also taken large amount from many other professional seat aspirants.

The accused have been running the racket in the name of Master Education Consultant and Capital Career Guidance in Mangaluru. The modus operandi was quite simple. They advertise in various media promising seats in Medical, Engineering and para-medical courses attracting desperate aspirants. They collect advance amount from each victims promising seat in various colleges in Karnataka mainly in Mangaluru. In various complaints, they have cheated seat aspirants running into crores.

There are cases against these culprits in Kasargod, Thiruvananthapuram and New Delhi. The police is looking for the third person who is still at large.
