Media pays deep tribute to veteran scribe N R Ubhaya

Mangalore, Sep 3, 2014: The passing away of a much loved local journalist and more than that a good human has been marked at his recent passing away. Today, honouring the memory of the veteran scribe,  Sri N R Ubhaya,  a condolence meet was held by journalists and members of Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists Union (DKWJU) at Mangalore Press Club, Urwa.

Floral garlands were placed at the portrait of late Sri. Ubhaya, and glowing memorial tributes were paid by journalists gathered on the occasion.

Senior journalist Chidambara Baikampady recounted his interactions with the much-loved and respected veteran, with deep appreciation and honour of Sri Ubhaya.

Former president of Kannada Sahitya Parishad Harikrishna Punaroor, Union president P B Harish Rai, Press Club president Ramakrishna and others were present on the occasion attended by a large gathering from the Journalistic fraternity in a fitting remembrance.
