Mayor unable to solve city’s problems, alleges BJP corporator Tilakraj

Mangaluru, Oct 6, 2015 : BJP corporator Tilakraj has alleged that the Mayor of Mangaluru was neither able  to solve the problems brought to her notice, nor had the capacity to do so.

 

 

He was addressing a protest organisedby the BJP in front of the MCC building at Lalbagh on October 6, Tuesday   to oppose the the ’irregularities’ in carrying out various developmental works in the MCC limits.

Tilakchandra also took a dig at the Congress for targeting the BJP over the hike in Self-Assessment Property Tax. He questioned how the Congress administration in MCC increased the tax when its leader Janardhana Poojary had assured that there would be no hike.

Another  corporator Premanand who also spoke, questioned as to what happened to the promise made by the local MLA to construct footpaths.

He also warned of a severe protest in the days to come if the ruling Congress in the MCC fails to keep up its promises and  also to live upto the expectations of the people.

 Roopa D Bangera, Corporator and several BJP leaders including Bharath Shetty, Vedavyas Kumar, Sudhir Shetty participarted in the protest.
